Some memories are painful; especially memories of the ones we have lost…

Memories of those who meant the world to us; memories of those who were very dear to us. Memories of the ones who meant so much to us can never be erased and they keep coming back to us in form of flashbacks and for that moment everything comes to a standstill and we tend to remember every minute detail of the time we spent with our loved one. And being in that moment is like reliving the past. But when that moment comes to an end we experience sudden anxiety and heartache. And that is when we cry like a child missing how beautiful life was when they were with us.

Here’s to the memories of 16th December; one of the darkest days in the history of Pakistan. A day when we lost 144 beautiful souls!!!

That day our hearts were broken without a warning, no words were spoken when they were taken away from us. A day when nobody knew that something so tragic would happen that it would completely shatter the dreams of many and leave the entire nation weeping.
No one knew that this day would be marked as one of the deadliest days in the history of Pakistan. 16th December, 2014, being the day when darkness descended upon us, the day when the terrorists struck us where it hurts the most, the day when little angels with beaming faces and high hopes went to school never to come back again, the day when barbaric terrorists brutally massacred innocent children and teachers of Army Public School, the day when classrooms and playgrounds turned into slaughterhouse, the day when many families lost hope and faith in humanity, the day which should never be forgotten because if it is, there would lie no difference between us and them, the terrorists. Alongside the number of martyrs the other thing that saddens me is the dying of their dreams and ambitions.

On this day, let us vow to never end our fight against terrorism. Lets fight till the time we are able to completely eradicate terrorism from our motherland. Let us join in prayer for the families of the children who mourn their loss, and for those who make peace possible in our country.
